At the cockpit

Have you ever been in charge of an aeroplane? Well I haven't, but this was the closest I got. A visit inside the cockpit.

The day was 31st of May - I was on a flight coming back to Gatwick from Fuerteventura. I was going to exit the plane when the Captain asked me if I would like to visit ' the cockpit '. As I have never been in a cockpit I said yes. I felt excited as I would be close to my dream job of being a pilot.

When I went in I saw a massive panel of controls and the pilot said, "Do you want to sit down in my seat?"

So I sat down and my dad asked if he could take a photo and the pilot said, "Yes."

So my dad took the photo and this is it.

Unfortunately when the pilot was showing me the controls he moved the chair and at the same time I moved my leg to the side and my leg got badly squashed. But when the pilot realised what he had done he was so apologetic but what really mattered to me was the opportunity to go in the cockpit.
